ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 23, 2012) – A US national who was apparently drunk made a scene at the Zamboanga International Airport after local security prevented him from boarding a plane bound for Manila.
Michael Raymond Chase, 48, who pretended to by a US soldier, created a commotion, but was prevented by American soldiers who were also at the airport.
Chase also flashed a dirty finger sign on a television crew filming the commotion.
Police said Chase also refused to pay the P40 airport terminal fee and cursed local security and other passengers.
Chase, who is said to be an executive of a company in Zamboanga, was then whisked by US soldiers. It was not immediately known whether immigration authorities would file charges against Chase for public scandal and vagrancy. (Mindanao Examiner)
