DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao / May 5, 2013) – A provincial capitol employee in Zamboanga del Norte was shot Sunday by a motorcycle gunman in an attack in the town of Roxas, police said.
Police said the 40-year old Herminio Romasosa was travelling on a motorcycle when the assailant, who was tailing him, opened fire and hitting the victim several times.
The attacker fled after the shooting and villagers rushed Romasosa to the hospital. The motive of the shooting remains unknown, police said.
Gun attacks and killings in Zamboanga del Norte has dramatically risen since early this year and many of the murders were unreported. (Mindanao Examiner)
