TODAY, WE ARE NOW ON THE 11th day of the conflict and the Zamboanga City’s relief operations continue in cooperation with other government agencies.
To accommodate queries of those who wish to help from outside Zamboanga, the City Government opened trust fund accounts with the Development Bank of the Philippines and Land Bank of the Philippines where monetary assistance may be deposited/remitted/wired to help us in the relief efforts.

I have also attached the latest figures I got from our City Social Welfare and Development Office on the number of Internally Displaced Persons due to this current conflict. From the total of 42,000 IDPs the other day, we now have over 100,000 IDPs as of last count.

I had been tasked by the Mayor to help in drafting the guidelines and monitor donations to help in ensuring transparency and proper accountability
in the disbursement.
May I just emphasize the need for the donors to email their deposit slips/remittance confirmation notice to the email indicated or fax to the number indicated for ease in reconciliation and to allow the city to easily comply with COA requirements for the issuance of a receipt for each and every donation.
