This, as the local government in coordination with the Zamboanga City Water District and the Bureau of Soil and Water Management of the Department of Agriculture are now finalizing arrangements for the conduct of cloud seeding operations in the city to mitigate effects of the dry spell.

  • The WASH Cluster together with the Zamboanga City Water District has launched a massive information campaign on water conservation in all transitory sites and one evacuation center in response to the water crisis besetting the city. For almost a month now, humanitarian agencies have initiated hygiene promotion sessions in all IDP sites. These will culminate on Monday, April 20, with the water conservation drive themed “Bawat Patak ng Tubig ay Mahalaga di Dapat ito Inaaksaya”. The day-long event which will have creative games will be attended by 350 participants with 20 representatives from each IDP site, partners from humanitarian and government communities and host barangays.
