ZAMBOANGA CITY (Al Jacinto / Aug. 3, 2013) – The Zamboanga City Integrated Port Services, Inc. has recently purchased some P30 million worth of new equipment as part of its upgrading and modernization program.
“These are all brand new equipment which can lift or move heavy container vans inside the Port of Zamboanga,” General Manager Romeo Casela told the regional newspaper Mindanao Examiner.
He said the equipment is a big boost to trade and commerce in Zamboanga because it will further make the operation of the port services easier. He said more equipment is expected to arrive from Europe before the end of this year.
“With this new and modern equipment, Zamboanga can become one of the best in port services in the country,” Casela said.
