Zamboanga City News Bits April 10, 2015

  • A total of 50 duplex loftable housing units were officially turned over Friday morning, April 10, to the members of the Lustre Homeowners Association in Lustre, Sta. Catalina in simple ceremonies led by the City Government of Zamboanga together with the National Housing Authority (NHA). This marks the 5th turnover of completed permanent homes under Z3R since August last year encompassing the Martha, Paniran, St. Peter, and Taluksangay housing projects.
  • Mayor Beng Climaco led a delegation composed of members of the City Council and other city officials to a visit to Davao City to finalize plans for the signing of a sisterhood agreement between as well as to learn Davao’s best practices in operating its 119 and CDRRMO facilities.
  • The Local Inter-Agency Committee has created a Technical Working Group that will draft and finalize the Implementing Rules and Regulations on Awards, Arbitration and Beneficiary Selection for Z3R Permanent Housing Projects. The TWG is set to sit down on April 13,14 and 15 at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar to finalize the IRR.
  • The GAD Focal Point and Technical Working Group with invited consultants will meet on April 14 and 15 at the Grand Astoria Hotel to draft the GAD Code Implementing Rules and Regulations. The activity is organized and sponsored by the USAID-ENGAGE.
