
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 23, 2012) – The local government has lined up a series of infrastructure projects worth tens of millions of pesos which would benefit various villages here, officials said.
City Engineer Luis Vicente Despalo said they expect the projects to be completed before elections next year. He said there are many ongoing projects mostly buildings that would house various offices.
Despalo said the local government also allocated funding for rehabilitation of roads in Zamboanga.
He said a marine park, worth almost P8 million, is also being proposed at the Paseo del Mar, Zamboanga’s premiere tourist destination.
Zamboanga has embarked on a massive tourism campaign to lure visitors to the city. (Joy Soler)
