ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 20, 2013) – The Zamboanga Press Club on Saturday conducted a refresher and walkthrough on news writing and attended by journalists from various media outfits.
It was the first seminar for this year and press club president Jayvee Francisco said more workshops and training are set for this year.
Roel Pareño, a member of the board; and Julie Alipala spoke in the seminar.
The “Refresher and Walkthrough on News Writing” seminar was held at the Training Center of the Zamboanga City Water District, which sponsored the event.
Aside from Francisco, the other officers of the Zamboanga Press Club are Eugene Lasprilla, executive vice president for radio; Ramon Follosco, vice president for print; Elsie Molina, vice president for radio; Richard Falcatan, vice president for television; Marilyn delos Santos, secretary; Ester Doroteo, treasurer; Larry Velasquez, auditor; and Bong Garcia, the chairman of the board.
The other members of the board are Hader Glang, Joey Bautista, Noning Antonio, Hermie Ventura and Nonong Santiago. (Mindanao Examiner)
