ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 19, 2012) – The Philippine Red Cross in Zamboanga City is set to culminate its “Blood Donor’s Month” and said it would give awards to companies, schools and organizations, and individual donors as a motivation and an inspiration for their continued support to the organization.
On July 31, the PRC will have the culmination of the Blood Donor’s Month and this is where they invite companies, organizations and schools which have the largest number of blood donors for the past year to give due recognition and appreciation for the kind-hearted donors who did not hesitate to give blood for the blood bank.
Among the awards are “Bloodiest Government Office”, “Bloodiest Hospital”, and “Bloodiest Fraternity” among others.
It will also give awards to individual donors for “Blood Galloners,” who donated 10 times already, and Bronze award for those who donated 28 times, and Silver award and Gold award for those who already donated 56 times or more.
“Most important of all, the awarding ceremony will serve as a motivation and inspiration to all,” Blood Bank Manager Dr. Kelly Geronimo told the Mindanao Examiner.
The Blood Donor’s Month, with the theme “Every Blood Donor is a Hero,” began July 1. (Carlissa Horecerada)
