Zamboanga school principal, 2 others fall in drug sting

PNP-2B2-2Bcopy16

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 1, 2014) – Police arrested a school principal and two other men in a drug sting operation in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.

Police said the trio was busted after they allegedly sold methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as shabu to an undercover agent in the village of Quinipot.

The Department of Education has confirmed the arrest of the principal on August 31 and that an investigation has began.

Police said it recovered several packets of shabu and drug paraphernalia and other pieces of evidence needed to build the criminal case against the three men.

The confiscated drugs were handed over to the police laboratory for examination to determine whether the seized crystalline granules were shabu or not.

It was not immediately known whether the principal sold drugs to students. (With a report from Ely Dumaboc)
