ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 21, 2013) – Police said a man was stabbed Sunday near a billiard hall in Zamboanga City and died while undergoing emergency treatment in the hospital.
The man was not immediately identified and police said no witness was willing to come forward to give a statement or tell investigators what had happened.
Police said the stabbing incident occurred near the Sarimanok Billiard Hall in the village of Canelar. It said the victim was stabbed in the chest and first brought to the private Ciudad Medical Zamboanga and later transferred to the state-run Zamboanga City Medical Center where he died.
Police said the motive of the attack or the identity of the assailant is still unknown. (Mindanao Examiner)
