2 teenagers wounded in grenade attack in Zamboanga town

ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 5, 2014) – Two teenagers were wounded in a grenade explosion in the town of Tungawan in the southern Filipino province of Zamboanga Sibugay, police said Friday.

Police said the victims were rushed to a clinic due to shrapnel wounds in the body. The two teenagers were with two other friends who were walking in the village of San Isidro when an unidentified man lobbed the grenade.

The motive of the attack is still unknown and police are investigating the explosion to determine who was behind it.

Police said the injuries of the victims were not life-threatening. (Mindanao Examiner)
