4 sundalo sugatan sa Abu Sayyaf

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 5, 2014) – Apat na marines ang umano’y sugatan matapos na muling magkasagupaan ang militar at Abu Sayyaf sa bayan ng Patikul sa Sulu province.

Inatake ng teroristang grupo ang mga sundalong nagpapatrulya sa nasabing bayan nitong Biyernes kung kaya’t nagkaroon ng panibagong labananan sa lugar.

Dinala na sa Zamboanga City ang mga sugatan habang patuloy ang operasyon ng militar sa Patikul na kung saan ay nabawi ng mga tropa ang kampo ng Abu Sayyaf kamakailan lamang.

Hindi naman inilabas ng militar ang pangalan ng mga sugatan. Wala pang ibinibigay na pahayag ang marines sa Sulu ukol sa panibagong sagupaan, subali’t hawak pa ng Abu Sayyaf ang tinatayang 10 bihag na kinabibilangan ng mga dayuhan at Pinoy na dinukot mula sa Tawi-Tawi at Sabah, Malaysia at itinago sa Sulu.

Maingat naman ang militar sa isinasagawang operasyon dahil na rin sa pagaayuno ng mga residente sa Sulu ngayon buwan ng Ramadan. Ilang beses ng kinondena ng mga Muslim at opisyal ng pamahalaan sa Sulu ang karahasan ng Abu Sayyaf at ang pagdukot at pagpatay nito sa mga inosenteng sibilyan. (Mindanao Examiner)
