5 NPA sumuko sa militar sa Mati City

Ang 5 rebeldeng kasama ang isang sundalo sa kanilang pagsuko sa militar sa Mati City sa Mindanao.

DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 13, 2012) – Limang New People’s Army rebels ang hiwa-hiwalay na sumuko sa militar sa lalawigan ng Davao Oriental at nais na umano ng mga ito na makapagbagong buhay kapiling ang kanilang pamilya, ayon sa militar.

Sinabi ng 10th Infantry Division na ang mga rebelde ay sumuko sa Mati City sa Davao Oriental province at inaayos na umano ang kanilang mga papales upang mabigyan ng sapat na tulong ng pamahalaan para sa kanilang pagbabalik-loob.

Kabilang sa mga sumuko ay si Gene Gregorio, 22, na tumatayong team leader ng NPA unit. Kinilala rin ng militar ang iba pang mga rebelde na sina Renante Pleños, 25; Robert Pleños, 18; Joel Gregorio, 27; at Samuel Cunat, 33.

“Initial interview of the five former rebels revealed that they could no longer sustain the hardship of being with the underground movement. The five surrendered without firearms and hoping to be included in the Government’s Comprehensive Local Integration Program,” pahayag pa ng militar na ipinadala sa Mindanao Examiner.
