
COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 4, 2014) – A 22-year old man was critically injured and at least 7 more wounded when a hand grenade he was toying exploded at a market in the southern Philippines, officials said.
Officials said Charles Guhityat was playing the grenade when it fell down and exploded late Monday in North Cotabato’s Midsayap town. Medical workers and policemen and soldiers rushed to the area to help evacuate the wounded and secured the area as authorities investigate the explosion.
Among the injured in the blast were two teenagers and most of the victims were rushed to hospital also in Midsayap town.
