PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 1, 2014) – The Pagadian City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council and the Philippine Red Cross led the celebration of the National Disaster Consciousness Month and the Blood Donor’s Month.
A blood drive at the City Commercial Center Mall followed the motorcade in Pagadian City, said Hildaliza Muñoz, Administrator of the local Red Cross chapter.
“I encourage the people to join us and participate and be part of this noble cause by giving blood to those who give life and be a regular blood donor,” Muños said.
Haron Damada, CDRRMC Coordinator, said the activities were also participated by the Barangay Emergency Response Team, 53rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army Engineering Battalion, and the Emergency Response Team of Zamboanga del Sur Electric Cooperative-1. (Jong Cadion and Ely Dumaboc)
