Barangay Chairman, nakaligtas sa pamamaril

KIDAPAWAN CITY — Maswerteng nakaligtas sa tiyak na kamatayan ang isang punong barangay sa bayan ng Magpet, North Cotabato matapos na pagbabarilin sa tulay sa Purok Raman, Brgy. Poblacion, Magpet, North Cotabato, Martes ng umaga.

Kinilala ang biktima na si Kapitan Ferdinand Remonde Cariaga, 50-anyos at barangay chairman ng Sallab ng nasabingbayan.

Ayon sa ulat ni Police Senior Inspector Jose Mari Molina, hepe ng Magpet PNP sakay si Cariaga sa kanyang motorsiklo patungo na sana ng Magpet Municipal Hall para dumalo sa Municipal Peace and Order Council Meeting ng pagbabarilin ng suspek alas-8:45 ng umaga kahapon.

Nangyari ang pamamaril sa Kabacan Bridge matapos na inabangan ng dalawang mga lalaking suspek at pinara.

Pagkahinto ng 50-anyos na punong barangay ng Sallab sa nasabing lugar, walang pasabi ang mga suspek at pinagbabaril ang biktima.

Nagtamo si Cariaga ng tama sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng kanyang katawan pero nagawa pa nitong makatakbo at humingi ng saklolo sa mga tao sa lugar.

Agad namang dinala ang biktima sa Kidapawan Medical Specialist hospital para sa medikal na atensiyon.
