DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 4, 2013) – A 31-year old man was shot dead by armed assailants in an attack in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte province in Mindanao, police said Saturday.
Police said Royro Ajero was talking on his cell phone inside his parked vehicle in the village of Miputak when two masked motorcycle gunmen approached and shot him in the head.
The assailants escaped after the shooting. Pursuing policemen recovered the gunmen’s motorcycle which turned out to be stolen from Polanco town in Zamboanga del Norte.
Police said Ajero was shot with a .45-caliber pistol. The motive of the killing is still unknown. (Mindanao Examiner)
