ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 16, 2013) – Police have recovered a fetus floating by the coast off in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, officials said.
Officials said a villager in Sinunuc, Darlena Sali, discovered the fetus and reported the matter to the police.
The fetus was wrapped with white linen when discovered floating by the woman, according to Insp. Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman.
Police started an investigation to identify the mother of the fetus who is liable under the Philippine penal law. (Mindanao Examiner)
