DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 28, 2014) – Police said a 60-year old Filipino grandfather died after suffering from a massive heart attack in a motel in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte province in southern Philippines.

Police said the victim checked in at the motel with a young woman, who was later identified as a married salon employee in Dipolog City. The naked body of the man was discovered after his companion rushed out of the motel room barely two hours later.

Two pink tablets, believed to be a sex drug, were also found near the man’s body, police said.

Police traced the woman’s employer who told investigators that she went back to the beauty salon weeping, saying she had a headache and then went straight home. Police also recovered the dead man’s cell phone found in the salon’s stockroom. The victim’s granddaughter said the phone belonged to the man.

Investigators tried to contact the woman, but her cell phone was apparently turned off.

Police said a post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Rowell Mata, of the Dipolog City Health Office, showed that the man died from heart attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
