DURING THE formal proclamation of winning candidates for this year’s election, officiated by the Provincial Board of Canvassers headed by Commission on Election Chairman Vidzfar Julie, the people of Sulu have once again placed their trust in the Provincial Government. The majority voted for Hon. Abdusakur M. Tan as the newly elected Vice Governor, serving under the leadership of Governor-Elect Abdusakur A. Tan II. The formal ceremony took place on May 15 at the Sumadja Hall, Sulu Area Coordinating Center.

As the legacy continues, Vice Governor-Elect Abdusakur M. Tan is set to pursue his vision of inclusive, participative, and resilient leadership by promoting policies that prioritize the welfare of the Tausug people.
In his speech, as the incumbent governor and now Vice Governor-Elect, Sakur Tan extended his gratitude to the Commission on Elections, educators, security sectors, and other partner stakeholders for the successful and generally peaceful electoral process in Sulu. He invited everyone to embrace a more participatory approach to governance, reiterating his commitment to delivering more effective and secure services for the people and for Lupah Sug.

Graced by election officers, newly elected officials, family members, and supporters, the ceremony was a success.
