
ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 3, 2014) – Robbers shot a motorcycle owner before fleeing with his bike in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay, police said.
Police said Marlon Suico, 27, was shot in the left leg by one of three motorcycle gunmen who fled with his motorcycle just in front of his house in the village of Makilas in Ipil town.
Suico told police that he just arrived home when the men appeared behind him and shoved him away from the bike and shot him before fleeing towards neighboring town of Roseller Lim.
“The victim sustained gunshot wounds in his left leg and was immediately rushed to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for medical treatment,” police said in a report.
Police said another motorcycle was also stolen in the village of Lumbayao in Kabasalan town near Ipil.
Wilfredo Maños, 33, reported to the police that two men stole his motorcycle parked in front of Ro-Ann’s Pension House. (Mindanao Examiner)
