Motorcycle crash kills 1 in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 3, 2014) – One teenager was killed and two others wounded in a motorcycle crash in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.

Police said Alex Felizar, 19, died instantly from head injuries while his companions Randy Ramos, 18, and Jomar Gallego, the driver, were seriously injured in the accident that occurred in the village of Pasonanca.

The motorcycle crashed on a concrete barrier after the driver lost control while trying to overtake a jeep.

It was unknown if Gallego was driving under the influence or not. Police are investigating the accident. (Mindanao Examiner)
