ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 24, 2013) – A former soldier stabbed his partner Friday after accusing her of having an illicit affair in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said the man, Alfredo Nicodemus, surrendered after attacking Joemariefe Magdula, 42, outside her office with a kitchen knife. The woman, who works for beauty product supplier Personal Collection, was rushed to hospital due to many stab wounds in the body.
Nicodemus said he confronted her partner who admitted carrying out a relationship with another man which drove him to attack the woman.
“I phoned the man and he too admitted the relationship. It was too painful for me and she deserves it,” he said.
Police said the woman is in critical condition. (Mindanao Examiner)
