BASILAN (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 19, 2014) – Police arrested three men linked to the gruesome murder of three family members in the southern Philippine province of Basilan.

Police said the men were arrested separately in Zamboanga City and in Lantawan town in nearby Basilan province where they killed an elderly couple Pablo and Teresa Guerrero and their granddaughter, Trixie.

Another family member survived the assault, but is seriously injured in the attack blamed by the police to Rigoberto Erasca, 28, Ricky Toledo, 21, and Alty Falcasantos, 19.

Police said robbery was likely the motive behind the killings and that the weapons, among them a crow bar, used in the attack had been recovered by authorities and further bolstering evidence against the trio.

A fourth man is being hunted by the police in Basilan and Zamboanga City. (Mindanao Examiner)
