ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 3, 2014) – Police detained a village watchman after he accidentally shot and wounded his companion with a shotgun during a scuffle with another man they were pacifying in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said Friday.
Police said Arturo Bendinillo surrendered after the shooting that wounded Romeo Gullod at Zone 7B in the village of Zambowood. Bendinillo and a team of watchmen were responding to a call for help in the village where Pedro Estrella had been accused of public scandal.
