
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 19, 2013) – Police mounted a manhunt for 5 gunmen who robbed a department store in Pagadian City in the southern Philippines, officials said Friday.
Officials said a security guard was injured in the heist after one of the gunmen hit him in the head as they robbed the Marasigan department store in downtown Pagadian on Thursday afternoon.
“The Pagadian City police (force) is still conducting an investigation to identify who is responsible for this (robbery),” Insp. Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said.
He the robbers carted away 9 Rado watches and assorted jewelleries valued at more than P1.3 million after breaking the store’s glass shelves. The gunmen then fled on three motorcycles. (Mindanao Examiner)
