PAGADIAN CITY – A motorcycle store manager was killed by motorcycle gunmen in an attack in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur in southern Philippines, police said Friday.
Police said the victim, Rito Masong, who worked for Odyssey Motors, died instantly from Wednesday attack in downtown Pagadian. Masong was traveling on a motorcycle with passenger Junriel Lesaran, when the gunman shot him twice in the head.
Lesaran said he ran away after the gunman also pointed his gun at him and reported the incident to the police.
The motive of the killing is still unknown, but gun attacks are not uncommon in Pagadian where hired killers operate with impunity. (Mindanao Examiner)
