SULU – While en route from Zamboanga City to Jolo, MV Trisha Kerstin 3 succumbed to the sea and claimed numerous lives near Baluk-Baluk Island, Hadji Muhammad, Basilan.
In response to the incident, Vice Governor Abdusakur M. Tan immediately flew from Jolo, Sulu to Zamboanga City earlier today to personally visit and check on the rescued passengers and to take the necessary actions to address their immediate needs. Transport and medical assistance are being provided to ensure their safety and welfare.
As search and retrieval operations continue, the Sulu Provincial Government remains in close coordination with concerned authorities and is closely monitoring the situation for further developments.
