ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 25, 2012) – Senior executives of Suzuki Philippines on Thursday opened a new branch in Zamboanga City in Mindanao.

Suzuki Philippines President, Satoshi Uchida, and Suzuki Philippines Automobile General Manager Shuzo Hoshikura, led the opening of their branch together with Peter Po, the local Suzuki dealer who is also the executive of Grand Canyon Multi-Holdings Incorporated.

The new branch along Nunez Extension is expected to bolster Suzuki’s presence in Mindanao. It will also provide spare parts and auto services for Suzuki’s clients not only in Zamboanga City, but to Mindanao as well.

“The opening of Suzuki Auto Zamboanga marks the increasingly diversified mobility needs of Zamboanguenos. The new dealership will create excitement because it showcases Suzuki’s different automobile products. We are looking forward to our partnership with Suzuki,” Po said.

He said Suzuki currently carries eight automobile products, including the fuel efficient compact cars Alto K10 and Celerio; and the 5-door hatchback Swift, the sporty Sx4 Crossover, and the 8-seater All Purpose Vehicle Type II.

Suzuki also carries the 4-wheel drive Jimny and the Grand Vitara.

During the inauguration, Suzuki also launched its flagship executive sedan in Zamboanga called the “Kizashi,” a state-of-the-art, 2.4 litre engine with its 6-speed continuously variable transmission.

The 4-door sedan boasts of a push button start and stop engine, whose brush-stroke style emblem gives a sense of dynamism and Japanese tradition. The Kizashi’s distinctive stainless steel exhaust covers were inspired by Suzuki’s sports motorcycle. (Mindanao Examiner)
