PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 25, 2013) – Police said a lone gunman shot and killed a village official in the town of Tabina in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police identified the victim as Noli Eltagon, 34, a village council man in Baya-Baya. The killer fled after the attack which occurred on Christmas Eve in the village of Baya-Baya.
The motive of the attack or the identity of the murderer is still unknown, but the local police said it is investigating the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
