ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY – Police said two motorcycle gunmen shot dead a 50-year old villager in the southern Filipino province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Police said the victim, Juanito Cepada, was heading home with his wife on a tricycle, when one of two gunmen shot him along the highway in Sanito village in Ipil town.
His wife was unhurt from the attack, police said, but the motive of the murder is still unknown, although authorities are investigating the shooting.
Police said Cepada was shot several times and hit in the neck and body. He was taken to the hospital, but he died along the way. (Mindanao Examiner)
